BEC-Tero coach Manuel Cajuda spoke to the assembled media at the weekly TPL 'Meet the Press' event earlier today, looking ahead to the weekend's fixture at home to Osotspa Saraburi FC.
First he had the opportunity to reflect on his first competitive game in charge of the Fire Dragons, the victory over TOT.
"It was a very difficult game. The team had gone 136 days without a win. That's 13 games with no victory. Psychologically that can have a big effect on players and puts them at a disadvantage.
"For TOT, it was like a cup final for them. A real six pointer. They knew that a win would take them to just one point behind us in the table. The victory means we are 7 points clear of them now. I was really pleased with the players in getting that result."
Looking ahead to Saturday, Cajuda said:
"I think it's another tough game and I want the players to go into the game with the same mentality as me. We have to play to win, but we must respect the opposition too."
